His dream contract means losing out on his dream man…
Lachie Kikishkin lives a charmed life. He’s one of the top rookies in the NHL, never has to look far for a hookup, and even animals flock to him like a Disney princess, which is how he ends up reuniting with his childhood crush.
Working at the animal shelter meant Sam frequently dealt with the strays and injured critters Lachie brought in as a kid. But now Little Kikishkin is all grown up and Sam’s the one in need of rescuing when Lachie sets his sights on him. Their chemistry is electric and what started as a summer fling turns into something more.
But Lachie is about to sign the deal of a lifetime – a seven year contract in a different state that will keep him hundreds of miles from Sam. Can he score a fairytale ending with his Prince Charming?
